Scouting For Food Tomorrow
We will do our part to kick off our annual Scouting for Food Drive Saturday morning at 9 AM. Please arrive at GBE at 8:45 so we can organize and distribute the bags and flyers. Scouts and their families will be given routes based on their Dens in the morning. This is a SERVICE PROJECT and participating scouts will receive a patch for Scouting for Food 2016!
This first weekend only takes about 1-2 hours (depending on the number of volunteers). Tiger Scouts will be lead by Den leaders and parents who will guide the kids as they do the activity. We will go over additional details in the morning. See you all there!
Pack Meeting Tonight at 7 p.m.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! Our November Pack Meeting will be tonight at 7 p.m. at GBE. Our November theme is COURTEOUS- Cubs in Shining Armor.
A Scout Is Courteous. How Does “Cubs in Shining Armor” Relate to This Point of the Scout
Law? A Scout knows good manners make it easier for people to get along together. The word “courteous” is an old English word that comes from the time of knights. Many associate chivalry and graciousness with a knight in shining armor because of their code of conduct. The knight’s code of conduct extols these virtues, ensuring that a Cub Scout in shining armor will exhibit courtesy to all.
Scouting for Food November 5 and November 12.

Pack Meeting Oct. 4th
It’s Pack Meeting Time! We will have our Pack Meeting this Tuesday, October 4th at 7 pm at GBE. Our October theme is KIND.
In our lives, we encounter many people and have many chances to make an impact on their lives. Showing kindness in small ways might make a difference for someone who really needs it. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to do something kind for others; do what you can each day to show you are kind.
Creepy Crawlers
This month Scouts will learn how creepy crawlers relate to kindness and the Scout Oath. A Scout does not hurt or kill harmless things without reason. This month, explore creepy crawlers and discover the world of insects. The Scouts will learn that creepy crawlers are important to our world, and they will learn how to be kind to our crawling friends.
