Please remember to bring some weight with you, i have run out of my stash over the years. I will have a scale to check your weight before you go, but the official weigh-in will occur at GBE next weekend.

Pack Meeting Tonight

We have our January Pack Meeting Tuesday, January 10 at 7 p.m. at GBE.

 IMG_4030.JPGJanuary Theme —Obedient

A Scout Is Obedient. How Does “Cub Scout City Council” Relate to This Point of the Scout Law? A Cub Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and pack. He obeys the laws of his community and country. At this pack meeting we will have a mayor, council members, and lots of commendations for the great work that each Cub Scout has done this month.

Cubmaster’s Minute

This month you have had great adventures, but you have also learned about always doing your best and obeying the Scout Law. Rules and laws are important. Following the rules and laws help make our community a better place to live because there is order. I challenge each of you to do your best each day to make your community better by obeying not only the rules and laws of your home, school, and community, but by following the Scout Law each and every day. Remember, a Scout is obedient.

Car Clinics this weekend- Last Chance!

This weekend will be our last round of Pinewood Derby Car Cutting clinics. racing-mainSign up HERE! I need to know how many people are coming to plan for support.

Volunteers can now sign up on the same online sheet for kids. I am looking for 2-3 volunteers this weekend that can assist scouts at different stations. No experience necessary, but we will be very busy and we want to keep our scouts and their siblings excited and engaged! If you can volunteer some time this Saturday or Sunday afternoon, I would greatly appreciate the help.

  • Want to do the kit at home? You can stop by and pick up a kit at the clinic, ask questions and be on your way!

  • Brother or sister want to participate? Extra kits will be available (at cost- $4 each) at the clinics!

S4F Collection Day is Here!

Scouting for Food is a nationwide event and a  major source of resupply for the area food banks whose shelves Cub_Scout_Charactersare sparse this time of year. This is a valuable service project for our community and scouts. We need a lot of volunteers tomorrow.

scoutingforfood

Tomorrow morning will be part two of Scouting for Food. We will meet at GBE at 8:45 to begin collection.

Once scouts return from the neighborhood, we will sort the collected items for the Boy Scouts to load up. There will be some refreshments there for the scouts once they return from collection.

We need boxes! We need many standard sized boxes. I’m talking about paper ream boxes, banker boxes, etc. to sort all the food collected.

Sincerely,

Scott Stables
