Our next event is Scouting for Food Pick-up, 0830 on 12 Nov at GBE parking lot.

Our next Pack meeting is 15 Nov, 7 pm in the GBE Cafeteria

Our next Den meeting is 29 Nov, 7 pm in the GBE Cafeteria

Saturday 11/5/22  is the first part of our Scouting For Food effort.  We will meet in front of GBE at 8:30am 11/5/22 to distribute flyers for Scouting For Food.

Please note that we will not have access to bathrooms, as the school will be closed.  Please wear comfortable walking shoes and outerwear for the weather tomorrow.  You may also want to bring a water bottle.  When you arrive, please sign in  on our Pack sheet (there will be other troops there as well), and find our Pack.  Our leaders will have assignments and sticky notes to distribute. Then we will meet again on Saturday 11/12/22 at 8:30am in front of GBE to collect and organize the donated food.

“Rocky Run Night Hike: A Survival Adventure for Lost Treasure”

This upcoming Tuesday please be sure to arrive promptly at 7pm at the GBE cafeteria for our pack meeting. Following opening ceremonies, we will be embarking on the “Rocky Run Night Hike: A Survival Adventure for Lost Treasure”.

This exciting adventure will consist of a ~1 mile round trip hike on the Rock Run Trail with a series of surprise encounters that teach the scouts survival lessons as they quest for a lost treasure. This will support meeting a hiking badge requirement for many of the dens.

A couple important items to prepare:

• Dress weather appropriate (layers to be outside for the majority of the time; mid to upper 50s)
• Bring flashlights
• Parents are welcome to join

Looking for some outdoor fun this weekend? Join Troop 1547’s Bike Rodeo at the Greenbriar Pool Parking lot (13001 Point Pleasant Dr., Fairfax, VA 22033) on Saturday, October 8th from 9:30 to noon. There will be competitions, like newspaper toss, stop on a dime, a slow race, an obstacle course race, and other fun things. Have them bring their bikes and enjoy the fun! This is not a Pack-run event so please set a time that works best for you. Enjoy!
